The old UI, the General forum, shockwave flash actually working in browser...it's all gone. I will never forget. Newgrounds is so...empty.

Infinite Isolation is finally done being posted to NG. All songs are available. I think when the game comes out, as a special treat, maybe I'll upload the deluxe version with even more never-before-heard songs for the game. And it;ll be in one audio file, rather than a whole bunch, so that songs that transition into eachother don't get confusing. What do you guys think?

Nice. :) Been meaning to review but I'm a catch up in a bit. Turned out great.

I think a full album upload sounds like a great idea too, though maybe monetary potential if you leave at least something out of it so people get a reason to buy the full thing. ;) Though I guess they would anyway. For optimal portability, tracklist and all. Either way sounds like an appreciable addition.

ehhhh I'm not one to go promise you can or can't hear something if you buy or don't buy my album but thanks for the idea

You make exclusivity sound like such a treacherous thing. :P Added perks feel like part of the appeal with anything you buy IMO, but for sure man, respect on sharing all if you want to!

the thing is, big artists can include added perks and seem cool for offering them, but then small artists are seen as greedy for it because nobody knows them yet so they don't have a large fanbase of loving fans who already love everything they make. If you like a creation, or creator, you are more likely to support it and/or agree with it, it's just a fact.

Hmm I don't know if I'd see it as greedy, more so ambitious... though big difference if you for example post watermarked images and keep the real ones behind a paywall, or release stuff for free, and just have bonus stuff behind that paywall.

That's my philosophy too though. Would be amazing if the whole world really followed the pay-for-what-you-want approach, wonder if that'd work if all did...

well, it's not about how you see it, cause most people aren't as open minded and easygoing as you. it's about the majority of people and most people if they don't like something they are more than likely to criticize them for things that they'd praise others for doing.

Hey all I can detail is my own perspective and experience, but I doubt you can really be certain the MAJORITY has a different one. :) From what I've experienced people don't mind perks when they're done well. You stumble upon a lot of different approaches here, some generally appreciated some not so, unfortunately most promos rarely garner any comments at all so it's hard to know. Hard to reach out in the first place.

Might also have to do with what kind of audience you have; what particular genre you're working with hmm... maybe metal's generally a tougher category. One that comes with a somewhat self-imposed toughness in the audience , and as such also criticism-prone demeanor that comes with the style? Though metalheads are sometimes the nicest people ever too... wonder if this is a mindset you have from experience, more so the expectations you have of how fans would be, or more so how you think you would react to others if that was the approach I chose?

I'm really not easygoing btw, but open-minded sure, do try to be. But the point I'm trying to make here isn't to go with the exclusivity approach just: I think you underestimate people's ability to appreciate something good.

I can be certain if I know by experience. Half of all metalheads are great people. The other half are stuck up assholes. The first half are open minded nice calm people who respect you no matter what you like...second half are a buncha fags that just wanna talk about who's right and wrong and what bands suck and what bands don't and how their opinion is fact and that you're a poseur if you don't have the exact same taste as them down to a T. It's really confusing and sad,

Also you're the most easygoing guy I know wtf are you talking about.

Regarding GD btw, curious if you check the 'allow for GD use' box on all your stuff?

Yes I do

How for me: always (1) single tracks and (2) complete album

this is how I do it yes

Mmm wonder if it really is half and half though... you'd have to have spoken to an immense number of people to get a real representation thereof. But yeah, seems like there's that same split in pretty much everything, maybe not so different in different genres as different in different fanbases. Certain bands/artists seem to have the best fans ever, I think it probably has something to do with what kind of psyche you need to relate to a particular type of music, different relations are bound to attract different groups beyond the common cliche... bit like how if you browse through YT channels it's commonly accepted the comment section's just totally useless these days, but then occasionally you come across a channel that breaks the trend entirely, and people are actually having civil discussions and acting totally different than anywhere else on the site. Don't know where I'm going with this though... interesting observations and: hope you build a fanbase that's better than most anyway. I think a lot of those people in that second not-as-appreciable category will probably grow up too, hard to believe people go around being that black and white all their lives.

wtf I'm talking about is I'm not relaxed for shit most of the time. XD But the second part of that definition yeah maybe, didn't realize that word was also linked to tolerance...

how to tag users?

type their username with an @ symbol in front of it. for example, @player-109435 tags you, @Cyberdevil tags Cyberdevil, @KillerRATband tags me.

I usually just tag @KillerRATband though @player-109435
